Project Manager – Wildlife Crime Prevention Project
After studying Law and French, Sarah trained as a lawyer in the City of London working in corporate energy and environment projects. During this experience she started to conduct pro bono legal work for international NGOs working in both development and conservation, gaining experience of large donor funding contracts as well as project risk management and other legal issues surrounding environmental projects.
In 2011, having worked in conservation in Zambia for 6 months in 2008, Sarah moved to Zambia permanently to work for Conservation Lower Zambezi. As well as managing adminstration and funding for this conservation NGO based outside the Lower Zambezi National Park, Sarah also ran the environmental education and community support projects. She has experience in implementing innovative human elephant conflict mitigation methods in rural community areas and believes strongly in the involvement of local communities in wildlife conservation.
Before taking on the role as Project Manager for WCPP, Sarah worked as Fundraising and Public Relations Manager for GRI.
